I joined the Crossways ministry team about a year ago. In serving in this ministry, once or twice a month I travel to area prisons to meet with prisoners and help them see Christ. Crossways was founded by Terry Read, a member of Grace Community Church. Crossways is all about connecting prisoners and their families to Christ's body, the church. I've enclosed a pamphlet for you about Crossways- why the ministry exists, our Statement of Faith, and our hope for discipleship and restoration of prisoners. The website, www.crosswaysministries.com, can also give you more information about the ministry and help answer any questions you might have about Crossways and it's purpose.
I have been privileged to see God answer prayers and bless this ministry through the growth in volunteers and in more prisoners reaching out to know Christ. God recently opened another door for us with a building for Crossways. The administrative offices of Crossways can be located here making it easier for released prisoners and their families to connect and stay connected to the body of Christ. This facility also contains a Chapel which will be used by newly released prisoners for worship. The facility will be used for job assistance, ongoing accountability and spiritual growth. This is an exciting time for Crossways and those we seek to serve.
Our greatest needed resource at this time is a financial one. Will you help us? With a commitment of just $10 a month for one year to Crossways your gift will help change the lives of these prisoners and their families. I urge you to ask the Lord for direction, to give joyfully and know that your gift will be gratefully received and used well. Your gift should be sent directly to Crossways Ministries, PO Box 1954, Auburn, WA 98071-1954.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support. With a spirit of joy and anticipation I look forward to sharing more exciting news about the growth of Crossways with you in the future as we improve the safety and welfare of our community through His grace and power turning our hearts to building prisoners for freedom in Christ.
